Remote Data Center (RDC) Implementation

As part of CME’s initiatives to provide a fault tolerant network and to provide as much network redundancy as possible, we have replicated the MDN at our RDC.  We will be providing you with new CME gateway IP addresses for the RDC.  (No new circuits will be required.)  We will be happy to work with you in setting up the best possible back-up scenario for your situation.  We will be contacting you over the next few weeks to put this in place, along with providing you with our roll-out plan.

Eagle Release

The most recent GLOBEX^® development project designed to facilitate implied spread trading for Eurodollars, named EAGLE, was launched on January 26, 2003.  Eagle is an acronym for Electronic Arbitrage GLOBEX^® Liquidity Enhancer.  It allows for two types of implied spreading, which are implied IN spreading and implied OUT spreading.  Specific details can be found here.

CME will be providing the top of the book implied bid/ask with size information in the regular Category B message (Bid/Ask/Size message) over the ticker feed.  There will not be a distinction between the implied data and other data.  Customers can trade off of these implied bids/asks, so it is important that you display this information to them.  We hope to allow for this data transmission by the middle of March.
